About Brandon: I am from Schoolcraft, MI and currently attend Western Michigan University to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Communications Minor. I hope to attend Physical Therapy school once I have completed my undergraduate program. I spend a lot of my free time with friends and family, whether that be going to the beach or watching football. If I am not outside I am usually reading up on exercise science related literature or research.
How you started at CrossFit Torrent and what made you transition into coaching: Ever since I started college I was looking for a CrossFit gym to call home and once I found out that Torrent was coming to town I was very eager to have my first real experience with CrossFit. I have been doing CrossFit on my own for the last four years but this is my first real exposure to it. Going to school for Exercise Science I always knew I wanted to work with athletes and coaching always felt right. Finding the opportunity to coach CrossFit was just the best of both worlds because now I get to do what I love and share that with so many different kinds of people.
My favorite part of being a coach is... Working hard with someone on a movement they struggle with and one day all their hard work pays off and everything becomes easier for that athlete. That light goes off inside of them about how they should move and it is just really rewarding.
