You will see a different workout everyday consisting of functional movements that you continuously perform as part of your everyday life. Once you have established how to perform these movements safely with correct form you will continue to build in intensity.
General Physical Preparedness
CrossFit athletes are not specialists in one movement but have the ability to perform many movements well. They are able to do the common, uncommonly well.

Cardiovascular / Respiratory endurance – ability of body systems to gather, process and deliver oxygen
Stamina – ability of body to process, deliver, store and utilize energy
Strength – ability of muscular units to apply force
Flexibility – ability to maximize motion at a given joint
Power – ability of muscular units to apply max force in minimum time
Speed – ability to minimize the time cycle of a repeated movement
Coordination – ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a single distinct movement
Agility – the ability to minimize transition time from one movement to another
Balance – ability to control the body’s center of gravity in relation to the support base
Accuracy – ability to control movement in a given direction or at a given intensity
WHO CAN DO CROSSFIT?
Our CrossFit gym is the home of fitness for anyone. From big cities, to smaller communities, anyone and everyone can do CrossFit. It is for you, your neighbor, your parents, your grandparents, and your children. From the elderly to young adults, CrossFit is built with the individual in mind. Each workout is built around the specific person working out so that you can become healthier. In a class, you are likely to find anyone between the ages of 18 and 70, all following a specific program built for their individual needs.
HOW DOES CROSSFIT WORK?
CrossFit builds 10 different fitness domains:
1. Cardiovascular/respiratory endurance
It does so by giving you a different workout each day at CrossFit Torrent focused on multiple domains of fitness during a 1-hour session. Each 1-hour session has a complete warm up, workout, called a Workout of the Day (WOD), and a complete cool down. By encompassing all the necessary elements to build a healthy exercise regimen, you are going to improve in each area required to be healthy.
CAN I START CROSSFIT IF I AM OUT OF SHAPE, UNHEALTHY, OR OBESE?
We’ve heard so many times that “I need to get in shape so that I can start CrossFit”. This couldn’t be further from the truth. CrossFit Workouts are designed so that you can begin in our classes in order to get in shape or lose weight. We start you slowly so that you can begin with us at any fitness level. CrossFit is safe for everyone because it is exercise using the basic movements your body was designed to use in everyday life.
